About Grays Harbor Energy Center

The Grays Harbor Energy Center is a natural gas-fueled combined-cycle power generation facility located approximately 30 miles west of Olympia in Grays Harbor County, Washington. The facility began commercial operations in May 2008 and generates more than 620 MW of electricity for distribution across Washington and the Pacific Northwest.

Facility Overview

The facility consists of two GE Frame 7FA combustion turbines and one GE steam turbine generator operating in combined-cycle mode with duct firing. The plant uses natural gas supplied via the Northwest Pipeline and is capable of delivering reliable, dispatchable power to meet regional electricity demands.

Ownership and Operations

Grays Harbor Energy LLC operates as a subsidiary of Invenergy, the largest privately held global developer, owner, and operator of sustainable energy solutions. Invenergy and its affiliated companies have developed more than 200 projects across four continents, with a portfolio spanning wind, solar, natural gas, storage, transmission, and geothermal technologies.

Community Impact
