Mission

Greater Grays Harbor, Inc. works to build and strengthen business and industry for a prosperous community. In collaboration with other organizations, GGHI implements initiatives to maintain, expand, and create economic opportunities. We cultivate the necessary conditions for business success and community prosperity in Grays Harbor County.

We fulfill all the core functions of both a regional Chamber of Commerce and Economic Development Council, while also delivering programs unique to Grays Harbor.

What We Do

Developing the Economy

• Business Retention + Expansion — Building strong relationships with existing businesses, connecting them to programs, and advocating on their behalf
• Entrepreneurial Development — Supporting new and existing businesses through educational workshops and technical assistance
• Business Recruitment — Recruiting new employers and investment into the region
• Tourism Development — Promoting the region as an attractive travel destination and connecting tourists to local businesses

Strengthening Communities

We cultivate regional pride by bringing Harborites together to celebrate the community's successes. We help people stay connected, informed, and engaged through educational and networking events, annual signature events, and ribbon cutting ceremonies.

• Greater Grays Harbor Foundation – Education Fund — Helping community youth achieve their higher education goals through scholarships

Advocacy

GGHI engages in the Washington State legislative process to ensure state policies and funding decisions consider their impacts on rural communities. Equity for rural communities is paramount. Key advocacy areas include the business environment, economic development, rural equity, and workforce & education.
